Why this work matters
Siem Reap has many stray animals, and too often pets are abandoned at pagodas because people assume the monks will take care of them. Limited resources, lack of education about animal welfare, and financial constraints make it difficult for these animals to survive. Kong and her family’s work provides essential food, medical care, and shelter, helping vulnerable animals live safer, healthier lives.
